About Corinne
Bonjour! I’m a native French speaker with over 10 years of experience tutoring and teaching private lessons, as well as at universities and the Alliance Française, plus a Master’s in French Literature from the Sorbonne. So I have a large repertoire of methods and techniques to make learning French engaging, effective, and always tailored to your unique needs.
I’ve had the chance to work with students at all levels, from absolute beginners to those perfecting their French, and there’s nothing more exciting or satisfying for me than seeing you build confidence and become comfortable and proficient with the language.
My approach? It’s all about keeping things practical and enjoyable. I focus on real-life skills, bringing in culture, conversation, and those little nuances that make French come alive. I love teaching (I've been doing it for more than ten years) and since French is my native language, I bring a ton of experience and creativity to my lessons.
My teaching style is a blend of structure and fun, designed to make French click for you. I love to bring in:
- Tried-and-true methods: Thanks to my training at the university and the Alliance Française, I’ve got solid techniques to help you learn French in a way that clear and effective.

What does a typical lesson plan looks like?
Each lesson is tailored to fit you. We'll go over your goals first to make sure we'll cover what you need. Here’s how it usually goes:
- Warm-up and review: We’ll start with a relaxed review to refresh what you know and get into the flow.
- Core content: I’ll introduce new vocabulary and grammar in fun, engaging ways, like dialogues or cultural topics.
- Experiential practice: This is where you get to try things out—role plays, conversations, and exercises that bring the language to life.
- Wrap-up and feedback: We’ll end with a quick recap and some feedback, so you leave with a sense of accomplishment and clarity.
What sets me apart? I’m a native French speaker with years of experience teaching at the Alliance Française, universities, and through private tutoring. I was pretty much a beginner (I’d taken some French in high school, but it never stuck), and I learned so much in just a few weeks with Corinne. I wanted to learn enough to travel to France and feel confident getting around. I liked that the lessons were well-structured and always very interactive. She was very patient and let me repeat things over and over. Practice makes perfect! We did regular review sessions, and I could tell I was really making progress.
