About Lizzy
Habari! I'm Lizzy, a native Kiswahili speaker from Thika,
Kenya - born and raised here.
I'm fluent in both Kiswahili and English, and I love helping people from around the world learn my language and understand Kenyan culture.
I'm a friendly, patient and talkative person - my students say lessons with me feel like talking to a friend in Kenya, not a boring class.
When I'm not teaching, I love listening to Gengetone, reading novels, and learning about different cultures.
I teach because I love seeing that moment when my student finally says their first full sentence in Kiswahili without thinking - that joy is priceless!
I can teach complete beginners, intermediate learners who want to be more fluent, and travelers who need quick survival Swahili.

*Jambo! I'm a native Kiswahili speaker from Kenya.*
I teach REAL, everyday Swahili - the way we actually speak in Nairobi at the market, with friends, and at home. Not just textbook Swahili.
*My lessons are:*
- 100% conversational - you will SPEAK from day one
- For your goal - travel, work in East Africa, Kenyan partner/friends, or just for fun
- Patient and fun - I correct gently and we laugh a lot
- With culture - you'll learn greetings, jokes, food, music too
*How it works:*
We meet on Zoom / WhatsApp video (your choice). I send you simple notes after each lesson.
*I am available 3pm-5pm Nairobi time daily* - that's morning in USA (7-9am EST) and afternoon in Europe, perfect for before work/school.
First lesson is short intro - we check your level and make a plan.
