About Glaucia Rocha
I have been teaching Portuguese for foreigners since 2021 through online platforms, as well as offering in-person classes. Also, I have experience in teaching beginners, intermediary, and advanced levels of Portuguese students.
Besides, I have experience teaching English to Brazilians abroad. Then, I understand the nuances to learn a second language and its differences and similarities between English and Portuguese

I base the lessons on the individual's current understanding of Portuguese. And it will be inclusive of: both English and Portuguese, what to expect if you were to go to Brazil, common situations/phrases, college-level tutoring, and practice conversations in Portuguese. All of which I will adapt to the students' needs and interests. Besides, I have experience practicing activities with the student for the CELPE-BRAS test (Portuguese proficiency test).

- Paige speaks Portuguese very well. She told me, in Portuguese, a hilarious story that happened in Moçambique' about her first name. Be able to make someone laugh in a foreign language is a sign of proficiency. Moreover, she is very clear about her goals, which is extremely helpful for a teacher's class planning. I have been a Portuguese language student of Glaucia for over 9 months. I have found her to be intellectually engaging, conscientious and encouraging. She customizes our lessons to accommodate my cultural background, age (69) and life experiences. Our lesson sessions are not only very instructive but she makes them fun so the hour races by. If you wish to become proficient in Portuguese you can find no finer teacher than Glaucia Germano. Ela não é apenas minha professora, mas agora, minha grande amiga.
I've taken several classes with Glaucia and she makes it very easy to start learning how to speak Portuguese. On top of doing video calls, she also custom makes worksheets to help you review the content you went over in class. I'm a beginner but between her tutoring and a program like Duolingo, I'm definitely seeing results
