About Rafael
My name is Rafael Donaire and I will accompany you along this journey to achieve your independence in Portuguese.
I have been a Portuguese teacher for over 10 years, founder and CEO of YouChange, an online language teaching platform. I am passionate about language teaching and learning, with experience teaching students of different nationalities, profiles and levels.
Fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, I have lived in 5 countries, visited several others. I know in practice the difficulties when it comes to learning a new language and I know what and how you need to learn to speak a new language with confidence.
I have a TOEFL certificate in English language proficiency, a DALF certificate in French language and an MBA in International Business Management, I have developed my career in direct contact with other cultures and nationalities and a wide background teaching languages at different levels.

You will have a total immersion in Portuguese. All of our classes, and conversations inside and outside of class times, will be 100% in English. Need to reschedule class? You will have to ask me in Portuguese. The goal is for you to live Portuguese intensely and get used to using the language at all times.

More than someone who will give you some content during class time, I will be at your disposal to answer your questions about grammar, expressions, vocabulary and any other questions that appear outside of class time.
- Courseware
