About Jose

I am a Spaniard that came to London almost five years ago to study at university. I have always liked to learn new things, from maths to art, but it was only recently that I realised how fascinating it is to teach. I have also gone through times when I did not feel motivated, and I believe I can help students that, for whatever reason, have lost enthusiasm about a subject or simply feel stuck.

I love my mother language and my culture and if you are curious about them, you are the perfect match!

About the lesson

I listen to their needs and develop a strategy to achieve their goals in a realistic timeframe. I like to explore different methods at the beginning to come up with the most efficient plan but I am open to suggestions as well. My sessions can go from 1-2h.

In the past, I taught students of different levels, from high school students to adults wanting to become more confident. I also found that a more practical approach is extremely useful, e.g., commenting an interesting book in a conversational style.

My Spanish lessons can be useful to anyone brave enough to take on the challenge!

Hi, I'm Maddie and I took Spanish lessons with Jose for over a year. He is patient, kind and hilarious ! I learned a lot with him and my grades went right up (I'm a college student). I warmly recommend him, he is the best tutor I've ever had.

I started taking Spanish classes during quarantine. Even on Skype, I really enjoyed Jose’s methods and conversation. I learned so much in a short time...I was afraid to start taking classes again at the age of 30, but I’m glad that I did.
