About Luisa
I am a competent, consistent and resourceful Spanish teacher with proven experience within student-centered learning environments with a dynamic outlook geared towards efficiency.
I have a Certificate, issued by the University of Barcelona, as a Specialist Teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. I also hold a Certificate in Online Tutoring awarded by International House Madrid.
In addition to my career as a Spanish teacher, I have an university degree in Sociology and have been part of non-profit organizations in the fields of sustainable development, cultural diversity and social empowerment among others. During this time, I have coordinated platforms and committees, attended international meetings summoned by the United Nations and European Union, visited development projects funded by international institutions and drafted multiple reports and statements. This experience has been very useful when integrating Critical Thinking and Project-based Learning in my lessons.

I have taught and designed a full range of courses based on SMART Objectives and have had the chance to familiarize myself with learning management systems, leading to the integration of technology with traditional teacher-led classroom activities.
I have taught all levels and age groups in both the private and public sectors as well as in colleges and language schools. I am familiar with the latest methodologies in the market and have prepared trainees for various exam qualifications and subjects. I have also gained an extensive experience teaching in the business world focusing on Spanish for Work and Specialized areas of expertise.
Due to Covid 19 lockdowns, I have gained significant experience in teaching on Visual Learning Environment platforms, such as Zoom, Skype, Eduzee, Blackboard, Microsoft Teams, Moodle and CANVAS for course content and assessment.
