About Francesca
Hi, I'm Francesca! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Exeter where I studied an integrated Masters in Natural Sciences (First Class), focussing on Climate Science and Mathematical modelling. I have always had a passion for Maths and Chemistry and I achieved A*s in both at GCSE and A-Level. Maths underpins a lot of scientific theory and plays a crucial role in understanding new concepts. I continue to practise French, a subject which allowed me to use a different side of my brain. I am motivated by the opportunity to communicate with millions more people across the world.

I start most of my lessons with starter questions to gauge how familiar the student is with the topic we have planned to cover. To prepare, I have read the specification so that the questions we run through are in line with their specific exam board. Throughout my lessons, I ensure that the student is clear on the subject content and allow them to ask any questions. I measure progress by using questions with different levels of difficulty. I ensure students are confident by guiding them through questions initially. I also allow them to work individually once they have the tools they need.
