About Edward
I'm retired from full-time classroom teaching but I enjoy teaching individuals or small groups who really want to learn.
I taught English as a Foreign Language, up to Cambridge First, every summer for many years and English to Honours Leaving Cert for 33 years.

Junior Students: vocabulary and descriptions based on a sequence of six pictures which tell a story - put into the past, present and future tenses
Intermediate: much emphasis on vocabulary and expressions relevant to scenarios e.g. a summer job, a bicycle accident- typical of what one finds on the British Council website
Adults: discussions (with vocab. and expressions supplied in Word/on Zoom) around conversation topics (e.g. hobbies, transport, politics, sport, travel, cooking etc.) and work in any language area where s/he feels weak
