About the lesson

As a Foundation Phase English teacher for more than seventeen years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master the language skills and concepts they need to prepare them for their schooling life by laying down a firm foundation for future learning to take place.

Over my seventeen years of teaching, I’ve managed to successfully increase my student’s reading, writing and comprehension skills every year. My lessons are innovative, and engaged. I make use of international techniques and delivery methods as I have 5 years international teaching experience as well.

In my pursuit of lifelong learning, I’ve made it a point to stay up to date on the most current teaching methods. I have recently completed an Early Childhood Development course through Harvard University, and I am currently busy with my Masters in Pre and Primary Education through the University of Paris.

Even with the challenges of the current educational landscape, the feeling of watching my students have that “aha” learning moment never gets old. I’m passionate about forging relationships with students that build a sense of confidence and enable them to grow as learners.

Chantel

It's my absolute pleasure to recommend Chantel for tutoring. I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning with Chantel and came to know her as a truly valuable asset to help boost my confidence in learning and understanding Afrikaans. She has been patient and encouraging when I was struggling with learning a few sections and helped me memorise information with fun techniques I would never have known to work. If you find yourself looking for an Afrikaans tutor or for your children, this is the tutor you should definitely use! 100% recommend to all levels and ages.
