About Tahmid
I'm Tahmid, a Biomedical Science student at a London university, born and raised in East London. I started tutoring over four years ago at a local tuition centre and now run my own practice with 15+ students.
I teach because I know first-hand what good grades unlock. I went from D/E grades in English in Year 8 to an A* by Year 11, and finished with AAA at A-Level and eight grade 8–9 GCSEs, not through talent, but through structure, practice and the right guidance.
That's exactly what I pass on to my students.
What I enjoy most is watching a student go from dreading a subject to walking into the exam hall confident. Many of my students are aiming for top sixth forms and competitive careers, and seeing them get there is the best part of the job.
Outside tutoring, I play table tennis at a competitive level, football, basketball and BJJ.

My lessons are for students from Primary through to GCSE, with A-Level support, covering Maths, English Language & Literature, and Biology, Chemistry and Physics (AQA & Edexcel).
Every student starts with a short assessment so I can see exactly where the gaps are. From there, each lesson is built around their target grades: clear explanations, bespoke worksheets, revision timetables and plenty of timed past-paper practice, because exam technique is where grades are won.
Parents offered receive regular written progress reports, so you always know how your child is doing.
Lessons are typically one hour, one-to-one or in small groups, in person or online.
I've tutored for over four years, first at Quality Learning tuition centre, now through my own practice of 15+ students. One of my GCSE students achieved five grade 9s, four grade 8s and two grade 7s. I'm a Biomedical Science student at a London university with AAA at A-Level, and I'm DBS checked.
