About Dr Umema
Hello! I am a medical doctor holding an MBBS and an MPhil in Biochemistry, with 4 years of formal teaching experience as a university faculty member. Having trained hundreds of medical and allied health students, I understand exactly where students struggle and how to make complex biochemical pathways easy to digest.
I believe that learning happens best in a friendly, supportive, and understanding environment. I am incredibly patient and tailor my pace to match your individual learning style, ensuring you never feel overwhelmed by tough concepts or endless pathways. I bring the exact same academic rigor, professionalism, and structured learning from the university lecture hall straight to our online sessions, but with the approachable guidance of a dedicated mentor. Whether you are aiming to ace your professional board exams, clear a difficult viva, or simply build your confidence from scratch, you will receive expert, high-quality support every step of the way.

I am a medical doctor with an MBBS and an MPhil in Biochemistry. I bring 4 years of teaching experience as a university faculty member, where I have trained hundreds of medical students. I make complex biochemistry simple through interactive, visual learning. Using custom slides and a digital pen-tablet, I sketch structures and map out pathways in real-time. We will focus on core clinical concepts using Lippincott to prepare you perfectly for written exams and viva voce.
Lessons are structured as 45-minute sessions. This high-yield duration is optimized to maximize your focus, deliver core concepts, and leave time for your questions without causing screen fatigue.
These online lectures are for anyone wanting to master biochemistry, especially healthcare students:
• MBBS & BDS students tracking for top professional exam scores.
• DPT (Physical Therapy) & Nursing students building their clinical foundations.
• MLT (Medical Laboratory Technology) and allied health students.
