About Adrian
I have been performing as a folk guitarist for the past 20 years in several roots/folk/traditional bands at UK and European Folk Festivals, Arts Festivals, and live on BBC Radio 3. I have been a regular feature on the London Irish and English traditional session scene since 2015, and have taught approaches to tune accompaniment and finger style melodic playing at festivals, online and at colleges and schools since graduating in 2001. I have also been studying Bulgarian tambura (8-String lute) for the past ten years in visits to Plovdiv Bulgaria and am happy to teach approaches to learning Bulgarian tunes and ornamentation on the tambura or on the guitar.

For folk guitar my teaching model is based on working on what you most want to learn, and generally learning by ear backed up with with tab or notation if preferred. My aim is to give you the tools to both create your own style and be able to learn by ear from you favourite players, expanding your creative output, technique and enjoyment on the instrument.
