About Theo
My professional 20 year (+)career as Senior Manager peaked as Company Director when I left the International Business Development-, Sales and Marketing function with London based multi-national company IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES PLC, ICI plc. The company is listed on the London stock exchange has worldwide 63,500 employees linked to multiple and diversified product portfolios in the digital photographic, office product and pharmaceutical industries. I was selected out of 400 other international applicants for a junior and later senior account management function and my ongoing studies at the FEB Academy in Marketing and Market Research provided me with all the tools need for growing and further developing US1Mill.(+) accounts.
My success at international business developments had alerted many UK companies as they too had put their emphasis and business development market focus on key emerging markets at the time, primarily in Central-, Eastern Europe including The Russian Federation and former Russian territories and the emerging markets in the Middle East. Most impressive business achievements were the growth and expansion of the actual quality of the new business and the improvement and expansion of existing markets.
In my new function as appointed Commercial Director / Vice President of a UK based manufacturing company I restructured personnel-, manufacturing bases-, international contacts with highly efficient international alliances in the Middle East and Asian achieving strong annual growth rates with high attractive margin performances. Considering economic, market and market research studies the results achieve reached from the US to vital projects in the Middle East and Asia including Asia.
Previous existing contacts from the Institute of Directors in London [IOD] and the accreditation of my Marketing qualification by the Chartered Institute of Marketing achieving elected and Affiliate Membership provided cornerstones on the way to exceeding the ICI plc results. Ten new direct business partners appointed in different Middle Eastern countries and the GCC group, the access to China and a manufacturing license agreement in South East Asia were all identified and legally completed within one year.

Hello Everyone, my name is Teacher Theo and I am teaching, advising and consulting students and companies in international Business developments, Business Strategy, Business Studies, Commerce, Economics, International Trade, Management, Marketing and Negotiations.
My qualifications include a European Diploma in Marketing and Market Research and a US Teaching qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages M.A.Ed.TESOL [US]. Please check listing and details under my name.
Working in medium size and two well-known Multi-National Companies [MNCs - Imperial Chemical Industries plc, London and Shell International, European Division] I initially developed commercial, technical, process control and international project experience in diversified industries as a UK based Project and Operations Manager.
Initially responsible for the design, assembly, delivery and installation of engineered products and services, the strong commercial aspect was to provide quotations, negotiate and legally complete all relevant documents in association with UK and overseas legal teams securing new business in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US.
An increased commercial involvement developed later for diversified multiple FMCG portfolios, capital goods and services. The initial success continued in different companies and my responsibilities grew accordingly.
Linked to various promotions I became responsible for multi-million US$ accounts in Central-, and Eastern Europe incl. The Russian Federation and the former Russian Republics. Identifying new opportunities and contacts in the region, business grew in strong double figures and very attractive margins.
I was promoted into a Director position and became responsible for a new range of multiple FMCG, Services and Capital Equipment and – creating a ‘formula’ for substantial business growth in the majority of over 40 countries world-wide, most of which I visited, working closely with international teams and developing a good cross cultural understanding in the Middle East and Asia.
My FEB Academy Marketing qualification was accredited by the Chartered Institute of Markting [CIM] in the UK, an excellent professional organization which supported my professional development by electing me to ACIM status. During the same period of time my achievements as
Commercial Director and its multiple areas of business involved in the company’s commercial-, operational-, finance-, legal-, and Human Resources activities became noticed by the Institute of Directors [IOD] in London.
Business development success repeated itself in international markets securing new business in Europe, the Middle East and Asia [incl. India and China].
My lessons will therefore not just reflect on past experience, the actual teaching experience for the subjects mentioned, comes from three years of teaching Business English at the MELC Language School in Thailand, creating my own course materials for specific companies and their employees -
also from two years online teaching experience using Business Venture Course books 1+2 [Oxford University Press] and University of Cambridge International BEC [Business English - Preliminary, BEC Vantage and Upper Intermediate and Advanced level] course books.
