About Reid
I am an experienced and dedicated singing tutor with over 5 years of teaching students at various stages of learning—from school and college students to working professionals. My mission is to help students achieve their singing goals, whether that is performing confidently on stage, improving vocal technique, or enjoying music as a hobby.
My teaching methodology is student-focused, practical, and adaptive. I use exercises, real-life examples, and structured lessons to teach vocal techniques, breath control, pitch accuracy, tone modulation, and voice projection. I also emphasise musical expression, stage presence, and performance skills to ensure students can communicate effectively through their singing. Music theory and sight-reading are also included, giving students a strong foundation for lifelong learning in music.
I personalise lessons to meet each student’s individual needs. Beginners learn in a supportive and patient environment, while intermediate and advanced students receive tailored guidance to refine skills, prepare for exams, and overcome challenges such as stage fear or vocal strain. I celebrate every achievement, encourage regular practice, and help students track their progress for measurable growth.
I aim to create a safe, inspiring, and enjoyable learning space where students feel motivated to improve, explore creativity, and develop a love for music. My ultimate goal is to empower students to become confident singers while nurturing their passion for music.

My teaching methodology for Singing is practical, supportive, and deeply connected to real-life learning. I believe singing improves when students understand how their voice works in everyday situations, so I use real-life examples and case studies from songs, performances, and daily voice use to explain techniques such as breathing, pitch control, tone quality, and expression. I teach with empathy, understanding that many students feel shy, nervous, or unsure about their voice, and I create a safe and encouraging space where they can learn without fear of judgement.
My teaching style is flexible, and I adjust lessons, exercises, and practice routines based on each student’s vocal ability, pace of learning, and personal goals. Clear communication is a key part of my approach, and I explain concepts in simple language with demonstrations and regular feedback. Using a problem-solving approach, I help students identify vocal challenges and work through them step by step. Along with Singing, I also teach relevant subjects such as basic music theory, ear training, rhythm, vocal care, and performance skills to support overall growth.
