About Erin
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher and have been teaching in the elementary school system since 2011. I have two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre Arts, and a Bachelor of Education in Junior/Intermediate, specializing in Dramatic Arts. I also have Additional Basic Qualifications in Primary Education and Special Education, Part 1. I also have experience as a Learning Resource Teacher and am trained in the Empower Reading Program for students who need reading intervention.

I am a strong believer in inquiry-based learning (aka project based learning). It is important for my students to feel empowered in their learning by choosing topics they are interested in learning more about.
A typical class would be set up based on your needs and we would work together on your Literacy/Language needs: Reading, Writing, and Oral Expression/Communication.
I have 8 years experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade 8 aged students and I am passionated about teaching English and a Second Language (ESL) students as well.
The classes are meant for students who need extra practice or intervention in Reading, Writing, and Oral Expression/Communication.
