About Kelly
My name is Kelly and I am a MA licensed Elementary Education Teacher with a master’s degree in Education. I am Associate’s level trained in Orton-Gillingham, working towards my certification by summer of 2025. I am passionate about helping students learn to read and write confidently, especially those with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences.

Orton-Gillingham (OG) is a structured literacy approach to reading instruction. • Individualized Assessment and Instruction – Prior to starting OG instruction, students are assessed to identify their specific needs and areas of difficulty. • Multisensory Techniques – OG engages the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses, creating an interactive learning experience that enhances memory and understanding. • Phonological Awareness and Phonics – OG instruction develops phonological awareness skills and provides explicit phonics instruction. • Structured and sequential – OG breaks down the learning process into manageable steps that progress from simple to complex reading and spelling tasks and build upon previously learned skills.
