I have been a student of Ruby for over 8 years now and I can personally attest to her well-cultivated teaching skill sets. She is able to break down complex concepts, provide straightforward examples in almost every subject (of which includes Geography, Mathematics and the Sciences) and explain it in easily digestible parts, even for infamously challenging IB courses. With her tutoring lessons, my grades in virtually every subject skyrocketed and it eventually boosted my rank from 20th to 3rd in the entire grade. In addition, she is able to create a healthy learning environment, striking a balance between a free-spirited atmosphere where no one is judged for asking questions that may be viewed as "stupid" in others' eyes, and a reasonably disciplined setting that helps students cultivate skills and habits that are crucial to having a successful academic career, such as critical thinking and time-management. Furthermore, she is a considerate and encouraging person who truly wishes the best for all her students. Even through tough times where my workload was overbearing, she always reminded me to take a break and recharge, and it always puts me in the right headspace to continue on and not give up midway. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Ruby enough. She not only is a perspicuous tutor but also a great role model for any student of hers.
