About Harriet
Hi! I’m Harriet. I’m a graduate of the University of Oxford (Master’s in Latin American Studies) and the University of St Andrews (Spanish and International Relations). For the past two years, I’ve been living in Colombia, working in a humanitarian organisation, which has made me fluent in Spanish and deepened my understanding of the region’s culture and history. I’m a TEFL-certified tutor with over ten years’ experience teaching Spanish, English, History, International Relations, essay writing, EPQs, and personal statements. I’ve coached students through everything from GCSEs to dissertations, helping them build confidence and communicate their ideas clearly. I love explaining complex grammar or theory in ways that are easy to understand and remember, often connecting lessons to your own interests to make learning engaging and meaningful. I’m genuinely enthusiastic about languages, history, and literature—and I want to help you enjoy these subjects as much as I do. My goal is to make learning inspiring, structured, and rewarding.
