About Michael
My name's Mr Godwin. I've retired from full-time teaching and now concentrate on private tutoring. I've helped students get into Eton, Roedean, Caterham, Reigate Grammar and other public schools, as well as Oxford University. My aim is to make learning as pain-free as possible, by proven techniques, many of my own devising.

I find out the student's interests and ambitions. Teaching is positive, engaging, but expecting regular homework. I use various mnemonics to help efficient study and memorization. Lessons are 40 mins. to 1 hour. I 've taught 5 to adult, pre-11+ to A levels and university entrance. With over 40 years experience and good results, I enjoy my work. I've taught fit and disabled (including one blind student), the most challenging being dyslexic or computer game addicted: here I must rely on family help! students'houses where practical
