About Kazi
Hi! My name is Kazi, I'm an Oxford graduate and trainee lawyer. I graduated with a high 2:1 in History, having got 10 A* at GCSE and 2 A* and 1 A in my A levels in History, politics and maths. I primarily tutor in History and Law, as well as helping with applications for Oxbridge, university and law. I am enthusiastic and committed, and am driven by a love for both my subjects and teaching! I'm an organised, patient and friendly teacher and I aim both to teach and inspire confidence in my students. At university, I studied extensively ancient global history (from Rome to the Middle East and all in between!), early modern (16th and 17th century) British history, and global 19th and 20th century history. I focused particularly on social and labour history, as well as intellectual history and the history of political thought. My dissertation was on the place of Republican armed struggle in Ireland on British revolutionary left thought in the post-war period. I have a broad range of knowledge, and can tutor from 11+ all the way through to University level. I recently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), and hold a training contract at Magic Circle law firm, which I will take up in October 2020. I can tutor on all aspects of Law, both academic and with regards to applying for training contracts. Having gone through the experience of an Oxford degree, as well as having successfully navigated the university admissions process, I am ideally placed to advise on all aspects of university applications. I am experienced in advising on Oxbridge admissions, and have tutored a number of clients on their successful applications to Oxford and Cambridge. Beyond this, I have expertise in Philosophy and Government & Politics. In my personal life, I love cricket and tennis, and quizzing - I was on the St Hugh's College team on University Challenge in 2017! I also love skiing and have travelled in recent years to South America, Sri Lanka and South-East Asia. I am based in South West London, and am available to tutor both in person across London and online.
