I am an experienced parenting support provider who uses an evidence-based approach to ensure that the advice given is practical and effective. My services cover a wide range of parenting topics, including behavior support and wellbeing support. Each lesson is one hour long.
Over the past three years, I have worked with families who have complex needs and are either on a CIN or CP plan within social care. I create plans to provide tailored support for each family's unique situation.
Parent Services:
Wellbeing support for parents – For parents - Aim to improve self-esteem, this package specifically covers topics such as family and social networks, personal power, assertiveness and communication, reflective practices, and the impact of low parental self-esteem on children.
Praise and Boundaries - For parents/carers of children aged 3 to 9 years Support will be offered in various areas along with observations to see what strategies are already in place (Observations If needed – virtual). These areas include: parent's own experiences and expectations, playtime and turn-taking, labelled praise, positive house rules, rewards and consequences, dealing with feelings, nurturing, listening, communication, routines, reframing language, ', support networks, and consolidation strategies to sustain progress.
Little people, big emotions and unprocessed feelings: For parents/carers of children aged 3 to 9 years to understand how emotions can influence actions and offer practical ways of guiding children so they learn to manage their feelings and control their behaviour. Speak to the team..
The lessons will be engaging and practical with some homework set.
