About Mikayla
I am a research associate within financial services recruitment. My goal is to be a licensed industrial psychologist.
I have spent my entire university tenure volunteering at a children's shelter. I was able to provide much needed support to the children by means of tutoring English and homework assistance to the primary school learners.

My teaching method is interactive. I aim to get each child involved in a creative and stimulating learning environment.
I start my lessons off with an "ice-breaker" , usually tying to the topic of the day. I've found that this allows the students to relax and I instantly have their attention. Thereafter, I introduce the topic, along with examples. I select the children's to demonstrate their learning, as well as to complete an exercise, review with the class and repeat a similar exercise.
The homework will then be based on the topic covered for that day in order to assess their understanding.
