About Megan
I am thrilled to present myself as a private voice teacher! As of this May 2024, I will have two completed Bachelor's degrees in Music Education (K-12) and Theatre. The last four years I have prepared for this by lesson planning, taking elementary and secondary music methods classes, doing classroom observations, and putting all of my undergraduate experience into practice during student teaching. I have been mentored by exceptional professors that are both state-of-the-art music educators and performers that have fostered my passion for music education and refined my skills necessary to be a successful educator. I have experience as a Teaching Artist, Director, Music Director and Private Lesson teacher for beginner/intermediate piano and voice. My passion and knowledge for music education is a driving force that will shine through to my students as I bring forth a fresh energy for the arts. I am looking forward to working with you!

I believe that the most effective teaching encourages risk-taking, creativity and growth-mindset. I am intentional about taking the first lesson to discover the strengths in my students ability, so I know where to focus their technique, discipline and growth.
As a trained vocalist, I am advocate for teaching vocal health and proper technique. Everyone's voice is unique to them. My goal is to foster the confidence and health of my student's voices by teaching vocal technique that is both specific to the music they are working on, and can also apply to all genres of music.
As a soon-to-be college graduate, I am set apart as a young educator who is a strong and encouraging role model for young singers. I can also bring about a fresh-energy for learners of all ages.
With a duel degree in Music Education and Theatre, I have been trained on and am passionate about bringing music to life through storytelling. What sets apart a good and great singer is their ability to emote, connect with, and tell the story of the music through their wonderful instrument!
