About Lisa
I am a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience, specialising in teaching college students. I focus on developing strong vocal technique, including breath control, pitch, tone, and range, while helping students express themselves creatively and emotionally through music.
My lessons are interactive and practical. I use vocal improvisation, recording exercises, and song interpretation to make learning fun and effective. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and style, ensuring steady progress.
Performance skills are a key part of my teaching. I guide students in stage presence, confidence, and expressive delivery for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are also included to strengthen musical understanding.
I encourage students to explore different genres and develop their unique voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and accountability, making every lesson inspiring and enjoyable.

Cultural sensitivity is a core value of my teaching. I respect all musical traditions and encourage students to learn songs from different cultures and languages. This fosters inclusion, awareness, and appreciation for diversity.
Accountability is maintained through regular practice plans, structured lessons, and constructive feedback. I track progress and motivate students to achieve their goals consistently. In addition to singing, I also teach music theory basics, rhythm practice, ear training, and performance preparation.
