About Me: Who I Am
"I am a proud, native Igbo speaker who grew up fully immersed in the rich language, traditions, and culture of Igboland. I speak Standard Central Igbo, which is the universally accepted dialect across Nigeria and the diaspora.
While I am a new tutor on Superprof, I have always been the go-to person in my social circles, family, and community for helping people correct their pronunciation, understand Igbo proverbs, and improve their speaking confidence. I am patient, enthusiastic, and highly comfortable using online digital tools to make learning on screen feel interactive and fun."
️ My Motivation: Why I Want to Teach You
"I chose to teach Igbo because language is the ultimate bridge to identity. It saddens me to see our beautiful language slowly fading among the younger generation and diaspora families who want to connect with their heritage but don't know where to start.
My goal is not just to teach you rules from a textbook; my mission is to give you a voice. I want to help diaspora children proudly speak to their grandparents during holidays, help adults confidently converse with relatives at traditional weddings (Òmoguó or igba Nkwu), and help language enthusiasts fall in love with the rhythm of our culture. I teach because I want to make the Igbo language accessible, alive, and easy for anyone to learn, no matter where they are in the world."
