Bogdan was my supervisor at Cambridge for my electrical circuit modules. He was by far one of the most knowledgeable supervisor's I had during my studies, and able to explain concepts very clearly. Most importantly, he was able to convey his intuition extremely well, which is hard to do in the modules I was covering.

Bogdan is an excellent supervisor/teacher who supervised me for RF electronics in my 3rd year of my BA/MEng degree at Cambridge. His lessons/supervisions at Cambridge proved to be intellectually stimulating because he went beyond repeating the steps in the worked solutions. He encouraged free thought and curiosity to develop better understanding of concepts that were covered in the course (asking us to prepare thought provoking questions that we would discuss at length as opposed to wading through mathematical drudgery). His explanations were on point and he was honest about when he didn't know the reason/answer to a question we had (and offered to follow up after reading up on it).

To provide a specific example, we were examining the use of varactors for RF electronics when I asked him whether the similarity in C-V characteristics for varactors and ceramic capacitors was coincidental or whether the underlying physics was the same. Bogdan's broad expertise allowed him to answer my question to a satisfactory extent (it was coincidental and the physics is quite different for the two cases).

Bogdan was an excellent tutor during my time in University. He was my supervisor in small group teaching sessions for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering module.

He was patient and understanding, never one to judge students who did not fully grasp concepts. Bogdan would always challenge us and push us to think critically in our problem sets, asking what would be the effects if certain parameters were changed. He was thorough and meticulous in explaining concepts and we always left supervisions with a firmer grasp of the content than before.
