About Mohamed

• **Longstanding Experience in Adult Education and Training** Over 15 years delivering training to diverse adult learners, including refugees, ethnic minorities, and individuals in hard-to-reach communities. Skilled at designing inclusive, community-based projects and developing culturally relevant curricula that address the real-world needs of learners. • **Expertise in Curriculum Design & Delivery** Created and taught ICT and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programmes, integrating language learning with basic computer skills to broaden learner employability and engagement. Developed custom training materials for adult learners of various backgrounds, including those with limited literacy, limited English proficiency, and special educational needs. • **Strong IT Integration & Assessment Skills** Qualified in multiple IT certifications (e.g., ECDL, OCR) and adept at using digital tools to enhance learning outcomes. Assessed and guided learners through NVQ qualifications; used language abilities (English, Arabic, French) to support learners’ progress and accurately identify training levels. • **Successful Training Centre Management** Served for many years as Centre Manager/Director at Compusoft Training Centre, overseeing staff hiring and development, curriculum planning, project bidding, and financial oversight. Secured multiple contracts and funding from local authorities (e.g., The Learning Trust, Barnet Council, Brent Council), successfully launching and managing large-scale community development projects. • **Leadership in Community-Focused Projects** Planned and ran government-funded initiatives assisting ESOL learners, ex-offenders, and residents of deprived areas, with a focus on tackling digital exclusion and boosting employability skills. Built long-term collaborations with various stakeholders (housing associations, local councils, awarding bodies) to strengthen educational programmes and expand outreach. • **Qualified Educator & Research Background** Earned PGCE (Greenwich University) and QTLS, underscoring a strong theoretical grounding and practical expertise in adult learning. Engaged in doctoral-level research (adult education, global supply chain disruptions), sharpening your ability to evaluate, improve, and implement effective teaching and management strategies. • **Multilingual & Culturally Responsive** Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, enabling culturally sensitive teaching, advising, and community outreach. Adapted curricula and class structures to respect learners’ religious and cultural needs while ensuring robust language and digital-skills acquisition. • **Versatile Project & Team Leadership** Experience supervising diverse teams of instructors, administrators, and volunteers. Comfortable guiding staff toward professional teaching qualifications and providing mentorship in curriculum design, assessment best practices, and learner engagement. **When preparing for your interview, you can expand on these points by sharing specific examples of:** - Successful grant/funding proposals you wrote or managed. - Strategies you used to engage “hard-to-reach” learners (e.g., integrating ESOL with IT). - Real-life case studies of how you adapted training methods to suit learners’ cultural or linguistic backgrounds. - Quantifiable outcomes: how many learners earned qualifications, or how many community projects you saw through to completion. Together, these highlights demonstrate your proven ability to lead a training centre, devise impactful adult-education programmes, and deliver practical, learner-focused instruction in a multicultural environment
