I had the pleasure of having Benjamin as a teacher twice in high school. I was an absolute menace of a student at times, but each time I was he met me with so much compassion that it genuinely changed who I was as a person and student. He was the first and only teacher that made higher level math fun and easy. He was one of the first teachers to fully support my academic growth and believe in me. I would not be where and who I am today without his incredible character that makes him into such a great teacher. I cannot recommend him enough.

Mr. Woodford was a statistics teacher and personal mentor of mine for a number of years. He has a unique combination of clever problem solving skills, a love of helping others learn, and a deep, deep appreciation of mathematics in many forms. He is a true teacher and a pleasure to have learned under. I cannot recommend him enough.

Ben, while traveling to some unknown location, pulled over and helped me with a lava flow problem for my geology class. The way he was able to articulate the problem so I could do the thinking on my own was where I was most impressed with Ben.
He was patient knowing that I would be slower than most of his students but I knew in his voice that he was truly excited to help me and even more excited to hear me understand the direction I needed to go to eventually solve my problem.
We need more teachers like him.

Ben takes the time to understand WHY you are not grasping a concept, and guides you through. He made learning a safe space by not judging you for struggling. Definitely recommend him for his patience and his thorough understanding of math and his students.
