About Shaunak
Hey! I’m Shaunak — a molecular biologist who somehow survived a PhD and an EMBO postdoc… so trust me, I’ve seen enough confusing biology to know how to make it simple.
I’ve taught lots of students over the years, from school kids who hated DNA to university students panicking before exams. My goal is always the same: make biology feel less like a monster and more like a subject you can actually enjoy.
I explain things in a relaxed, friendly way — no fancy jargon, no judgement, and definitely no “you should already know this.” Ask me anything, even the basics. We’ll laugh, learn, and slowly turn all those “I don’t get this!” moments into “Ohhh that makes sense!”
If you need help with biology, biochemistry, genetics, protein stuff, cell stuff, or anything science-y, I’ve got your back. Whether it’s homework, exams, or a research project, we’ll work through it step by step.

About the Lesson
I teach Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, and all the cool things happening inside cells — but in a way that actually makes sense and doesn’t put you to sleep.
My lessons feel more like a conversation than a lecture. We laugh, we draw weird diagrams, and we slowly make the “scary” topics feel simple.
How I Teach (a.k.a. My Game Plan)
On day one, I try to understand you — your goals, your level, and what exactly is stressing you out.
Then I explain each topic in simple words, real stories from the lab, and diagrams that look like they were drawn by a friendly scientist (because… they are).
I keep asking small questions throughout the lesson — not to test you, but to keep you awake and involved.
