About Unmani
I'm a PhD student in the area of Genomic data Science. During my undergraduate studies (Biotechnology engineering, 3.16 GPA), Masters studies (genetics, 3.36 GPA) and industrial experience, I had the chance to meet some excellent mentors. I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can grow fond of a subject and gain skills. I wish to share my knowledge & experience in genetics and related areas with students.

As a part of lab demonstrator at UCD, I have been guiding students in the area of Python programming and Genetics. My approach is to lead them to the answer and provoking their though-process by asking questions. To the students who do slightly better, I assign somewhat harder question/problem, pushing them a bit further. Similarly, for the students to whom the subject is relatively new, I alter my style of explanation. Additionally, as a bioinformatician, while working as a part of team, I constantly switched roles between student and mentor depending on the type of interaction.
