She has a rare ability to take dense, theoretically demanding material and make it clear and accessible without flattening its complexity, and she grounded the abstract ideas in concrete examples from the real world of work, which is exactly what made it land for the students. On top of that she is a naturally engaging speaker who held the room throughout. None of this surprised me given her track record: she has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level at QMUL, Royal Holloway and UBA, and has been recognised with teaching awards along the way. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a rigorous, thoughtful and genuinely compelling teacher.
