About Mehwish
I’m Mehwish Roqaiya, a Physics graduate from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), currently pursuing my MS at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). I have 5 years of tutoring experience in Mathematics and Physics and a strong academic background in Physics, with hands-on experience in experimental Physics, optics, photonics, scientific computing, and mathematical problem-solving.
I teach Mathematics and Physics from Grade 6 through university level, including Federal Board, IGCSE, O Level, A Level, and Edexcel curricula. I also help students prepare for competitive examinations such as MDCAT, ETEA, and NET, with a focus on both conceptual understanding and effective question-solving.
For Mathematics, I can help with Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Functions, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Statistics, Probability, and other school and university-level topics. For Physics, I cover Mechanics, Waves and Oscillations, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, Quantum Physics, and related areas according to the student's curriculum and level.
My academic background at PIEAS has given me extensive practical and analytical experience in Physics. During my undergraduate studies, I worked on experimental Physics, optics and photonics projects, as well as computational and simulation-based projects involving machine learning and COMSOL Multiphysics. These experiences have strengthened my analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
My teaching approach is concept-based, personalized, and exam-focused. I first understand the student's current level, difficulties, curriculum, and goals, and then tailor the lessons accordingly. Whether the goal is to build conceptual understanding, improve problem-solving, prepare for school or board examinations, work through past papers, or prepare for competitive exams, I adjust my teaching approach to what the student actually needs.
I believe effective tutoring is not about memorizing formulas or simply providing answers. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind each concept, working through examples step by step, identifying mistakes, and giving students guided practice so they can become confident and independent problem-solvers.
All lessons are conducted online and can be adapted to the student's pace and learning style.
