About Zachary
Hello! I'm a first-year undergraduate student pursuing engineering in 2026. I have a passion for physics, and in 2025 was awarded highly commendable in the University of Auckland Engineering Science competition. As someone who has been through all nine yards of NCEA, I know the ins and outs of the marking schedules and have developed study techniques that got me to achieve excellence endorsement in physics and calculus in levels 2 and 3. Whilst also achieving the physics scholarship in year 13.
Outside of school, I am an active person and enjoy snowsports, wakeboarding, rock climbing and working out at the gym. Indoors, I have a passion for piano and gaming, so I'm sure we will have a lot in common to talk about!

My lessons are tailored for students in Years 11–13 studying NCEA and typically run for 1–2 hours. Through my tutoring experience in 2025 and 2026, I have found the most success by first building a clear understanding of core concepts using personalized notes, then reinforcing that understanding through worked examples and targeted NCEA exam questions.
I teach across a wide range of ability levels — from students who are just getting to grips with key ideas, to those looking to extend their understanding to Excellence level and beyond. I am flexible in my approach, and lessons can be focused on internal assessments, end-of-year exam preparation, or both, depending on your goals.
