About Nicola
I have a Master's degree in Physics with Astronomy from the University of Nottingham, having graduated in 2019. I have tutored 3 children so far, all with very good feedback - ages 12 up to 16. The 12 year old progressed from a C student to an A student over 6 months of tutoring with me in a range of subjects. I am also currently tutoring 3 students so far via Superprof, all with great feedback.
I am most comfortable tutoring in Maths and Physics, but I also have extensive experience in scientific writing and great spelling and grammar skills, should any students require proof reading from me.

I know that every student has their own unique way of learning. My teaching style is flexible to account for this - students may approach me with specific questions or problem areas they are stuck on for us to work through together, or simply request a lesson on a certain topic that they found confusing. I have a patient approach to teaching and endeavour to give my students a comprehensive understanding of a subject, whatever it may be. However complicated or daunting Maths and Physics may seem, there is always a logic to it, and I will help you to see that!
Please note: I work full time 9-6 so all my lessons take place virtually in the evenings/weekends

I have known Nicola for many years, she is an enthusiastic young individual who is exceptionally passionate about helping students reach their maximum potential. Nicola is committed, reliable and is fantastic at breaking subjects down into bite size chunks. She is confident yet approachable and also has a great sense of humour which certainly helps with learner engagement!
