Having been taught by Sharim for years I can highly recommend him as a passionate, patient and enthusiastic teacher. Sharim has helped me develop my musical vocabulary, identity as well as technical ability to do so. From performance to theory, Sharim takes his time to recognise how I as a student like to learn and approach learning and adapts his material and approaches to best make me learn but also enjoy what I am learning. Having come from music teachers that were quite the opposite in the past;  Sharim has demystified the creative gene allowing to believe in myself as a musician without the self doubt of “not having it”.

During my lesson with Sharim he showed me not only what and how to play the songs I was learning but also why it works. It’s clear that he has a deep and extensive knowledge of music theory and improvisation on both the guitar and piano. The combination of theory and practical work makes learning exciting and also allows a deeper understanding of music and what playing and improvising really is, I can definitely recommend!!
