About Ana
I help adult learners build confidence and practical communication skills in a flexible and effective way. Whether your goal is career growth, travel, or cultural connection, I offer a personalized approach designed to ensure fast and lasting results.
I’ve been working as a private Portuguese tutor since June 2012, offering lessons in general Portuguese, business Portuguese, and preparation for GCSE, A-Level, and proficiency exams. I have extensive experience teaching both one-on-one and group lessons, in person and online, including exam preparation using past papers. I also design engaging lessons for children and teenagers using multimedia resources, and my sessions cover everyday Portuguese, business communication, and online tutoring.
My teaching approach is communicative and focuses on fluency, reading and listening comprehension, and vocabulary development. I also teach Brazilian and Portuguese Literature to Diploma Programme students at Westbourne College, guiding them through close readings, comparative analysis, and critical essays, with an emphasis on narrative reliability, social critique, historical context, and character development.

Details and Availability:
Price: $50 per hour, with a 10% discount for a package of 10 lessons.
Rescheduling: Lessons can be rescheduled or canceled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Availability: Monday through Friday, afternoons and evenings.
