About Phalguna
I am a post-graduate from IIT Madras who is very passionate about teaching and an aspiring science educator. I have experience in teaching Physics and Mathematics for IB, DP, IGCSE and CBSE curricula upto 12th grade.
I keep my classes fun and interesting, more as a means to nurture curiosity towards the disciplines of science. Also, I ensure my students enjoy problem solving and tests, which I believe reinforces an individual's learning. For those who are appearing for board exams, I proceed with exam orientation.
My experience as a student counsellor helps me to naturally mentor and guide students.
Being a bibliophile, I indulge in reading many science based books, journals and magazines. Insights from this knowledge tends to spillover into classroom conversations.
Overall, I am sure that, through my classes, I can imbibe and impart good understanding and attitude towards a subject, as well as enabling a student to reap rewards academically.

As a teacher, my methods are student centric. I rely on ensuring conceptual understanding and tend to be application oriented. To consolidate the concepts, relevant problem solving is a must in my class.
Rather than handing out concepts, I encourage students to question more and always keep an open mind in clearing up any doubts.
In an hour of a class, I understand any prior knowledge of the student, as well as teach any concept from basic level. Weekly tests and respective discussions. For board students, I guide my classes are also exam-orientated.
I can accomodate classes from 6th grade to 12th grade or A Levels or DP. I am well-versed in teaching IB, IGCSE and CBSE curricula.
As well as being a passionate teacher, I am an aspiring science educator. Therefore, through my teaching, I am sure my students would develop enough curiosity to further pursue in the field of sciences.
