About Yuliia
Olá! :) My name is Yuliia, I'm 21 years old postgraduate Portuguese philologist at Jagiellonian University (Poland). Originally I'm Ukrainian, but, as I was always passioned about foreign languages, I went to study abroad. Except of Poland, I studied also in Portugal, in University of Porto, as part of my Erasmus+ program. I can fluently speak in English, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian (I'm bilingual), Portuguese (C1), French (B2) and currently I'm learning Turkish (A2+). So, I've got a lot of new ideas about how to learn language in the most natural way, without suffering with grammar books and luck of speaking.
I am passionate about traveling, exploring other cultures and traditions, getting to know people from other countries. My students are my friends, with whom I am sharing my experience and skills, so You can feel free to express Your opinion and to make mistakes, because mistakes are the key to growth!
I am keen on teaching online, as I can speak with people who are in another part of the planet and we can share our passion to Portuguese language by using new technologies.
I'm constantly learning myself, so I'm looking forward to sharing my ideas with others! :)

Every person has his/her own specific way of acquiring new language skills (for someone it's listening, for others it's reading or even grammar!), that's why my online classes are always based on personal experience and preferences of my students. As constant language learner myself, I love to mix different methods of studying, which are always easy to fit in busy daily routine. During one hour, I practice with students listening, speaking, reading and introducing some important grammar rules. Each class usually has some interesting topic (it can be weather, news, making reservation in hotel, etc), including not only materials from books, but also all sort of online queezes, kahoot, videos on Youtube, etc. I also try to speak to my students directly in Portuguese in order to speed up their learning.
All materials I've got where used by native speaker professors at my university. But be sure we won't base our class on book, all the materials You need I am adding to Your personal Google classroom, where You'll be able to easily reach them when You will want to practice or repeat on Your own :)
