About Paddy
I'm a 24 year old structural engineer who graduated from the University of Cambridge. By day I work on some of the most exciting engineering projects in London, but have always enjoyed tutoring and helping people solve problems. I'm looking to get back into tutoring as a rewarding way of spending my free time.

I've always been taught it's important to know how something works in order to understand and apply it properly. Having helped my younger sisters and other students through their GCSEs and A Levels, I've seen that teachers rarely have time to fully explain where an equation or a process comes from. Causing students to feel lost when they face a problem that isn't in the exact form they were taught. I believe in teaching the understanding behind these rules, formulae and equations. This "from first principles" approach helps students know how and why they're doing something, allowing them to approach different and more challenging problems, or know where to start when things get tough.
