About Emma
I am an Artist based in Melbourne. I have been teaching workshops in drawing and painting for the last five years at various community centres in the Inner West. I have also tutored life drawing for an events company. I am most passionate about teaching tonal drawing, charcoal drawing, pastel drawing, water colour, and mixed media techniques.

My approach to learning is that the learning space is a playful space where students are encouraged to try new things and not be afraid of where it will take them.
I am interested to teaching students of all levels of abilities, and help students to seek out their own unique style of mark making and artistic style.
I give very thorough instructions on how to make a work , sometimes based on reference photos, where the object of the lesson is to make a realistic work and sometimes the lessons will be more open ended where students have the freedom to explore a new medium and to find a new relationship with it.
