About Helena
I am a piano teacher with a specialized Master in Music Education and more than 14 years of teaching experience, in official music conservatoires, academies and private lessons. I tailor my lessons to each student, according to their interests, levels, and learning goals. I love teaching and I have continuously done it privately and in official music schools, with students from beginner to advanced levels, from 4 to about 70 years old. With my help you can learn from a basic to an advanced level, develop musically and technically, read and interpret any score! I am currently finishing my second Master of Music, this time in piano performance. I have also participated in several piano masterclasses with world-renowned pianists and performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician in venues in Portugal, The Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Education Master in Music (Piano) - Conservatorium Maastricht, Netherlands Master in Music Education (Piano pedagogy and Music education) - Aveiro University, Portugal Bachelor in Music (Piano) - Lisbon College of Music, Portugal, and Conservatorium Maastricht, Netherlands Experience / Qualifications Teaching experience in music conservatories, music academies and private tuitions since 2005. Qualified piano teacher with a master in music education.

I taylor the lessons to each particular student, so that everyone can progress in a meaningful way. My goal is that you will enjoy making music and the process of developing your pianistic and musical skills! We will work on all aspects of music making and understanding, making it a holistic and complete experience! Ever thought you have no rhythm? Or that reading music notation is too effortful? Let me show you how to overcome that! I teach in English, Portuguese and if you want I can also practice my Dutch with you.
