About Xanthe
I am a professional artist and creative facilitator based in London. I graduated from Cambridge University with a First class degree in Education and the Arts in 2018 and have been accepted into the 23/34 Painting MA program at the Royal College of Art.
My work has been exhibited in prestigious exhibitions including the RA Summer Exhibition, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Young Masters Art Prize, ING Discerning Eye, and Blue Shop Cottage (wop 4&5). I have been awarded the De Laszlo prize and been shortlisted for the Jacksons Painting Prize and have work in collections in the UK, Spain, France and America.
Alongside my professional practice, I work for many leading charities delivering creative arts workshops for community groups including adults and children with disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers, carers, adults with mental ill-health, adolescents in psychiatric wards and LGBT+ youth.
Compassion, play and wellbeing are at the center of my teaching alongside developing skills and confidence with new materials and processes.

Welcome to my studio! I am a qualified creative facilitator and professional artist with extensive teaching experience. I work with all ages and abilities to develop confidence in both classical and experimental art practices and techniques. I approach each session in a holistic way that centers your experience and interests and fosters confidence and creative risk-taking.
I specialise in teaching:
- Oil painting
- Acrylic painting
- Watercolour painting
- Printing (mono-printing and Lino
printing)
- Drawing
- Colour theory
- Portfolio development and writing.
My lessons will help you develop your own visual style and the confidence to create distinctive artworks that engage with art history and contemporary themes.
I have experience working with a very wide age range - children as young as 3 to a 92 year old! And will plan my sessions to meet you at the level you’re working at - be it early years, GCSE, A Level, Degree, or pursuing a professional career in the arts.
