About Maria
I am Maria Ashitha Crasta, a professional dancer, choreographer and former film actress with over 25+ years of experience in Bollywood, freestyle and semi-classical dance. I have worked extensively in films, television and live performances, and have also trained aspiring dancers and instructors. I am passionate about teaching with patience, structure and empathy, ensuring every student feels confident, supported and motivated. My classes are professional, well-organized and tailored to suit each learner’s comfort level and goals.

My teaching approach is structured, encouraging, and deeply expressive. I focus on building strong basics, body awareness, rhythm, and expressions before moving into choreography. Each class usually begins with a warm-up, followed by technique and movement training, step-by-step choreography breakdown, and ends with expression, flow, and confidence building.
I believe dance is not just about steps, but about connecting mind, body, and emotion. My special strength lies in helping students feel comfortable, confident, and expressive, even if they believe they cannot dance. My classes are ideal for beginners, adults, working professionals, and anyone who wants to enjoy Bollywood and freestyle dance in a supportive and motivating environment.
