About Lauren
My first introduction to formal dance training began at competitive dance studios. I grew up competing and training in the dance convention circuit throughout the United States.
I went on to cultivate an extensive background in ballet training with Contra Costa Ballet and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. I took part in numerous summer and winter dance intensives before moving to NYC to earn my BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College.
Upon graduating, I joined Gaspard & Dancers with whom I toured domestically and internationally. I have continued to build my base in NYC working part-time with various contemporary dance companies, freelancing, and training/networking in the commercial dance space.
Throughout this time, I've gained experience teaching for dance studios, master classes, summer intensives, community classes, and freelance teaching in California & on the East Coast. You can trust me to provide an honest, informative, challenging, and supportive lesson during our time together.
My primary goal is to share my knowledge with those interested in learning more about dance. I'm excited to work with you!

With over 20 years of dance training and performance experience, my lessons include a rich background in Ballet, Contemporary, Improvisation, Modern, and Jazz styles/forms.
I believe in creating a healthy, welcoming, fun, and challenging environment to my students. My lessons are for any & all levels & ages.
I also offer choreography/ coaching for competitive dance, high school, and college submissions.
