About Yu-Ting
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Erhu Performance from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Taiwan. With over 13 years of dedicated mastery, I continue to refine my artistry to stay at the forefront of this traditional instrument.
Throughout my career, I have performed extensively on prestigious stages as both a soloist and an orchestral member. A career highlight includes my solo performance at the National Concert Hall, Taiwan’s premier music venue, as well as multiple awards from high-level competitions.
As an educator with over three years of experience, I have had the joy of guiding more than 25 students from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to bridge the gap between rigorous classical training and the joy of musical discovery, helping each student embark on a rewarding journey with the Erhu.

I am passionate about sharing the soul of the Erhu with the world. With 3+ years of experience, I’ve helped students of all levels find their voice through music, whether they are total beginners or refining advanced skills.
My teaching approach is patient, engaging, and step-by-step. I prioritize a solid physical foundation by teaching correct hand positioning and muscle usage—showing you exactly how to use your fingers, wrists, and arms to produce a beautiful tone. Beyond technique, we will build a strong music theory base and explore the cultural stories and composers behind each piece for a holistic learning experience.
What sets my lessons apart is the complete personalization: I teach both traditional classical and modern pop music based on your interests. All lessons are conducted in English, making complex traditional techniques easy to understand. I also provide all digital scores and learning materials, ensuring you have everything you need to succeed in our interactive online classroom.
