About Andrew K
I am extremely passionate about multidisciplinary art & design education. Studying fine art, graphic design, typography, photography, film, sculpture and architecture. I was educated myself at numerous world-class institutions, gaining three first-class degrees and winning a numerous awards for my own academic projects. I have a decade of private tutoring and guest critic experience both here in the UK and overseas. Since graduating my Masters in 2010 and becoming a chartered Architect in 2014 I have retained a connection to academia through my pedagogical practice and through attending postgraduate summer schools and masterclasses around the world (Bartlett UCL, AA, RMIT, Berlage TU Delft, FSA, Harvard, MIT, ETH). My adventures in architecture have taken me to hundreds of cities in over 70 countries, enabling me to gain professional experience working as an architect across 5 continents, collaborating alongside famous architects such as Thomas Heatherwick, John Wardle, Ben Van Berkel; UN Studio, Shigeru Ban and Sir David Adjaye.

I first met Andres whilst he was working as an architect in Santiago de Chile. We later attended the inaugural year of the Free school of Architecture together in Los Angeles. He is very engaged within the field and passionate about empowering future architects.

I have known Andrew since he moved to Vancouver, Canada to work as an architect. We were collaborating on some projects together. He is very passionate about architecture and teaching and has diverse experience of practice internationally.
Andrew is a skilled and perceptive trained architect. In fact I was his landlord in the year when he obtained his MA and qualified as a 'full' architect. He worked hard on his studies and as he himself has had to overcome the challenges of ADHD (which he was not diagnosed with until he was at university) he is sympathetic to anyone with learning difficulties. However do not expect him to give you an easy ride as a tutor: he is passionate about his subject and expects you to share his commitment to help you!
