About Matthew
I have been playing the guitar for nearly 20 years and simply love music. One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing my students continuously progress on the guitar. As a working musician I have played with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. I was also the Associate Music Director for the professional production of Footloose the Musical at the Athenaeum Theatre.

I am a professional guitarist based in Melbourne. I am proficient in many genres and techniques including bluegrass, country, folk, blues, fingerstyle and flat picking. I focus on reading music and not only playing songs, but understanding them as well.
I hold a Bachelor of Music and have been teaching in schools for the past 5 years, working with children with a range of abilities, from preps up to VCE students.
