About Miriana
Miriana Giardina: Italian Artistry & Educational Expert
I am an accomplished Italian violist and music educator who has recently established residency in Southern California, following a period of self-employment in the Florida Panhandle. My career is defined by a synthesis of high-level performance and a deep academic interest in how music is taught across different cultures.
A Foundation in the Italian Tradition
Born and raised in Italy, my foundation in the viola was sharpened under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Maestro Marco Traverso, Luca Ranieri, and Francesco Fiore. My professional transition into teaching began early; I served as a Student Associate at the Bellini Conservatory, where I began honing my pedagogical approach within the rigorous Italian conservatory system.
Professional Performance & Research
Before moving to the United States, I served for nearly five years as a section violist with the Orchestra Vincenzo Bellini Caltanissetta, performing in prestigious venues like the Teatro Regina Margherita. Beyond the stage, I am deeply committed to the "science" of music education. In 2023, I completed a comprehensive thesis analyzing the music education system in Texas, giving me a unique comparative perspective on how to achieve excellence in both European and American educational frameworks.

Self-Employed Professional: After moving to the U.S., I successfully built my own studio in the Florida Panhandle before relocating to Southern California.
Technical Excellence: I maintain a high standard of professional discipline, sight-reading, and precise intonation, which I pass on to every student.
