About Gryphen
I have been playing Double Bass since the 6th grade and bass guitar since high school. I have been gigging with different styles of groups since freshman year of college. Some of which had been Jazz groups while others have been Bluegrass.

In our lessons I will take into account what is your goal? What are your current plans for your bass playing. Double bass playing can include classical playing for orchestra and we can explore how much fun that can be. Jazz can be explored on double bass as well as bass guitar. We can explore all the Jazz had to offer as well, along with other genres.

I’ve known him since the beginning of 8th grade last year and he taught my band/music class that whole year. He conducted an entire band with so many rowdy kids very well and was able to teach each of them how to play their instruments. i’ve had lessons from him for months now and they’ve been so helpful.
