About Leno

Hi, I’m Leno, a native Mandarin speaker from China and currently based in Singapore. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature, specializing in Creative Writing, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as an International Language at NIE/NTU.

I have experience working with international students from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as teaching Chinese in an international school in Singapore. I’m especially interested in language, culture, writing, music, and intercultural communication.

I enjoy meeting people from different countries and helping them discover that Chinese can be logical, practical, and enjoyable to learn. Whether you are learning Mandarin for travel, work, relationships, cultural interest, or personal growth, I would be happy to support you on your learning journey.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, interactive, and tailored to your goals. Depending on your level, we may focus on pronunciation, tones, everyday conversation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, or writing.

I like to use real-life situations, guided conversations, short texts, pictures, videos, and cultural topics to make Chinese easier to understand and use. For beginners, I provide clear explanations and structured support. For intermediate and advanced learners, I focus more on fluency, accuracy, natural expression, and confidence.

I also give personalized feedback so you can understand your mistakes, improve step by step, and use Chinese more naturally in real communication.
